SMBF is a flume with the above mentioned properties, having two semi-cylinders on the side walls of the channel that contract the cross-sectional area of the flow. In this study, the SMBF flume has been studied for measuring the flow in free and submerged flow conditions. Using the experimental data (575 runs) of two rectangular channels, and using eight SMBF flumes, the proposed discharge equations were examined for the wide ranges of flow discharge, upstream depth, and contraction ratio. In the present study, based on the numerical and experimental analysis, and by measuring the velocity distribution at the throat section, non-uniformity of velocity distribution and depth in the contracted section, as well as the two-dimensional nature of flow were studied. Then, by considering the flow correction coefficients in the throat section and applying them into the energy equation, an equation was developed for estimating the flow discharge‎ under free flow conditions. Also, two equations were developed to determine the submergence threshold (as a function of upstream depth and throat width) and for the discharge estimation under submerged conditions. The mean absolute relative error of the estimated flow discharge of the SMBF flumes in free flow conditions and based on three experimental data series (channel 1, channel 2, and other researcher’s data) were respectively estimated to be 2.82, 3.19 and 1.52%. Additionally, the mean absolute relative error of the estimating flow discharge in the submerged conditions was 5.51%. The results showed a feasible application of SMBF structure, as a portable measuring instrument under free and submerged conditions.}, keywords = {Flow Measurement,Flume,Free Flow,Submerged Flow,Submergence Threshold}, title_fa = {تحلیل آبگذری فلوم‌های نوع SMBFدر شرایط جریان آزاد و مستغرق}, abstract_fa = {از رایج‌ترین وسیله‌های اندازه‌گیری جریان در مجاری روباز، فلوم‌ها می‌باشند که در آن سرعت جریان، بر اثر تنگ‌شدگی عرضی، برآمدگی کف و یا ترکیبی از این دو، افزایش می‌یابد. یکی از فلوم‌های با ویژگی فوق، فلوم SMBF است که با داشتن دو نیم‌استوانه در طرفین کانال، باعث تنگ‌شدگی عرضی می‌شود. در تحقیق حاضر سازه SMBF جهت اندازه‌گیری بده در شرایط جریان آزاد و مستغرق مورد مطالعه قرار گرفته است. بر اساس 575 سری داده آزمایشگاهی بر روی دو کانال با ابعاد مختلف و استفاده از هشت نمونه فلوم SMBF، در محدوده وسیعی از بده، عمق بالادست، و نسبت تنگ‌شدگی عرضی، معادلات بده پیشنهادی مختلف، مورد مقایسه و ارزیابی قرار گرفتند. بر مبنای تحلیل‌های آزمایشگاهی، عددی و برداشت توزیع سرعت در مقطع گلوگاه، غیریکنواختی توزیع سرعت و عمق در مقطع تنگ‌شدگی و ماهیت دو بُعدی جریان، تبیین گردید. سپس با در نظر گرفتن ضرایب تصحیح جریان در مقطع گلوگاه و اِعمال آن در رابطه انرژی، معادله‌ای جهت تحلیل آبگذری این نوع فلوم‌ها در شرایط جریان آزاد استخراج شد. هم‌چنین روابطی جهت تعیین آستانه استغراق (به‌صورت تابعی از عمق بالادست و عرض گلوگاه) و تحلیل آبگذری در شرایط جریان مستغرق استخراج گردید. میانگین قدر مطلق خطای نسبی بده تخمینی از رابطه پیشنهادی در شرایط جریان آزاد بر اساس سه مجموعه داده آزمایشگاهی (کانال‌ 1، کانال 2 و داده‌های سایر محققین)، به ترتیب 82/2، 19/3 و 52/1 درصد است. همچنین میانگین خطای برآورد بده در شرایط جریان مستغرق، 51/5 درصد به دست آمد. نتایج نشان داد کاربرد سازه SMBF به‌عنوان یک ابزار اندازه‌گیری قابلحمل، در شرایط جریان آزاد و مستغرق امکان‌پذیر می‌باشد.}, keywords_fa = {اندازه‌گیری جریان,فلوم,جریان آزاد,جریان مستغرق,آستانه استغراق}, url = {https://ijswr.ut.ac.ir/article_73889.html}, eprint = {https://ijswr.ut.ac.ir/article_73889_fce7db84ccd3becf759619df528a073f.pdf} }
